Coronavirus update for CBC
The Baptist Union and London Baptist Association have advised churches to cancel all events and church services for the moment.
We will be live streaming our church service on Sunday at 11am on our Facebook page. Search Cricklewood Baptist church on Facebook and like our page. Please do not attend church, but if you are in need, require shopping or someone to talk to please get in touch!
Messy church is back on Saturday 22nd February 2020 at 1.30pm to 4.00pm

Night shelter for homeless people
Starting on Wednesday 8th January 2020 we will be working with other local churches to offer a safe place for men to have a meal and stay the night. This is part of a project organised by the Brent faith forum and will be offering a different place to stay in Brent for 10 weeks at different venues each night. If you can help with preparing meals please get in touch! The venue is Claremont Free Church where our minister is moderator.
Do join us and friends from Claremont Free and St Peter's churches for our Lent course starting on Thursday 27th February at 7.30pm.
It will be hosted at Claremont Free church on Thursday 27th February and then at Cricklewood Baptist church on Thursday 5th March 2020.
Table tennis, chess and refreshments!
A number of folks have asked if they can use the church to play table tennis, so we decided to start a new club! It will take place the 1st Saturday each month and folks can drop in between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. The first will be 7th March.
CBC second ceilidh
Last year we had our first Scottish Ceilidh, and we have invited the Wraggle Taggle band back for 2020! The date will be Saturday 7th March from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. This is a fun event for all ages!
Bring along food to share.
We will be taking up donations for our local Christians Against Poverty centre (CAP) based at St Gabriel's church.
Unlike Fight Club, the first rule of Meal Club is tell everyone about Meal Club! This is on the first Wednesday each month, though we are closed for January, February and March due to helping run a homeless shelter.
The next one is Wednesday 1st April 2020 at 7.00pm-8.30pm. (Food is free, but let us know if you're coming via the 'get in touch' link. Volunteers needed...
Church 112th anniversary 2019
We had a fantastic service on Sunday 20th October, and were joined by the Filipino church that meets in our building. A few from St Gabriel's church helped us with our worship and also a team from YWAM Finland. Praise the Lord!
Rev Sue Millar was the guest preacher from Dagenham.
Football holiday camp
We had a busy Summer with a football camp in Gladstone park where 30 young people enjoyed 3 days of coaching and listening to one of the coaches life story.
YWAM joined us to lead a performing arts holiday club for three days. Over 50 children came during the camp. Lots of fun was had including learning dance routines, flag waving, enjoying lots of food and hearing a message from the Bible.
New worker for CBC!
After several months praying and looking we are excited to have Phylisia join us in September 2019. She will be joined by her husband Orlando. Do pray as we welcome them!
Do join us as we give thanks to God for Mr Wesley Forde. He was a former member of the church who went out to Uganda to start an orphanage.
On Sunday 4th November we celebrated our 111th anniversary. The guest speaker was Rev Ivan King who spoke on Deuteronomy 6:1-9 and Mark 12:28-34. After the service we all enjoyed tucking in to an amazing lunch.
Polar explorers holiday Bible club 2018
We had a fun 3 day holiday Bible club in October. Both adults and children enjoyed the craft, games, Bible stories and listening to a Pastor who raps!
We held our first international Sunday service where people came in national costumes, put the flags out and had lots of food!
