Sunday Services

cbc

The church meets every Sunday at 11.00am. We usually meet for 1 hr and 15 minutes and have different groups for young people.
The songs we sing are a mixture of traditional and modern. We have recently formed a worship group and this meets twice a month to practice and to lead the services. After the service we offer prayer for anyone who would like and also tea, coffee, cake which everyone is welcome to stay for.

1st Sunday each month is normally an all age service
2nd Sunday each month our service includes groups for children
3rd Sunday each month is a Holy Communion service with groups for children
4th Sunday each month service includes groups for children
5th Sunday is normally an all age cafe church style service.

We meet at:
Cricklewood Baptist Church
2 Sneyd Road
Cricklewood
London
NW2 6AN

Parking is free on Sneyd road on Saturdays and Sundays.

You can expect a warm welcome; great worship; relevant preaching based in the Word of God and a friendly group of people ready to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

We have a great programme lined up for children of all ages and have two groups for younger and older children.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs), together for the first part of the morning. At some point someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups. You will need to go with your children to their groups and register them as part of our child safety policy.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the Children's Ministry page.

After the main meeting finishes there will an be opportunity for prayer if needed.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 11.00am.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free. We also receive free food from the CO-OP supermarket that can be collected at the end of the service.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 11.00am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our band. We typically have 3 to 4 songs lasting approximately 20 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a  passage from the Bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is Bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song. There is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

What about my children?

We currently have two groups for children and teenagers.
Our Sunday school teachers are all DBS checked and we have one group for those in Primary school and another older group for those in Secondary school.

The children and youth are very much involved in the life of the church and help with leading services, singing, helping in worship, Bible readings etc.

Other Ministries

We also run the following ministries:

  • Bible Study on Mondays
  • Prayer meetings on Zoom once a month and a prayer breakfast once a month
  • A Free community meal on the 1st Thursday of the month
