About Us

The church building was started in 1906 and the first service was in 1907, though Baptists met in Cricklewood before this. The land was kindly given by All Souls College Oxford and the building was designed by Arthur Keen in an Italian Byzantine style. Arthur Keen also designed the former Baptist Union HQ which used to be in central London but is now a 5 star hotel!
The church hall was added in the 1930's and is now the main place of worship as the original church building was sold to property developers in the 1990's. The church was originally called Anson Road Baptist Church and later changed to Cricklewood Baptist Church.

The church has a number of stained glass windows including a shepherd holding a sheep and smaller stained glass windows depicting the parable of the Sower.
Our church is made up of people from all walks of life and from many different nations. We love diversity and we love to see new people. We really hope that you will feel right at home. Our Sunday mornings begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to join in celebrating the good news about Jesus. Our worship is with a mix of older hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together. We expect God to meet with us and speak to us.
Anyone is welcome at the church, and people who attend come from many different church backgrounds including Baptist, Anglican, Catholic, Pentecostal, Presbyterian or no church background.
The church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, London Baptists, and the Evangelical Alliance.
We work closely with other local churches as well as being partners with London City Mission and Youth for Christ.
